The callings came...

We knew deep inside they were coming...
You know how it is...
It's like the calm before the storm...
There is a sense about it...
You are almost not surprised when that call comes in...
And then your appointed time comes...
And you meet with the leader...
And the bomb is dropped...
Your heart races...
Your knees shake...
Your mouth says "yes"...
but inside you are saying to yourself (quite loudly I might add!)
"Isn't there someone more qualified??"
"Are you sure you are asking the right person??"
"What if I screw up so badly they kick us out??"
(bwahahaha! Ok. Not really...)
But callings are a new stretch in all areas nonetheless!

Can I kindly introduce you to:

Jestin Dorius, Assist. Ward Clerk in the River Trail Ward

And Heather Dorius, 1st Counselor in the Primary Presidency of the River Trail Ward...
They also asked me to be a part of the Ward Activities Committee for the next little while... it will be a blast!
Lucky for us both we are blessed to serve with AWESOME people and our fears of failure are diminished somewhat... oh... and did I mention we have complete (like knot at the end of a rope grip) faith in "He qualifies whom He calls" Otherwise... well... WE ARE IN TROUBLE! :)

Aw come on. Like you don't know how to be the 1st counselor! I seem to remember that you have done that once before.

Congrats on the new callings. You will both do great.

OK Nicole! But I have to completely admit you have been on my mind SO heavily this week! I am feeling all nostalgic and missing you all like mad!! ((hugs))

Wow! Been there, been that... Of course shorlty after Nikki was called to be 1st counselor in the Primary while I was just called to be Ward Clerk (and still am) she was called to be the new Young Women's President so I guess we see what is in your future :)

Honestly, I think that it is a great way to pay the Lord back for all the blessings he has given you guys. He called a Clerk that will pay great attention to detail and a Sister that will do nothing but good for the children for which she has stewardship.

Congratulations and good luck with your new callings. Remember if you don't feel like it should be you in the callings and like someone else would be more experienced or do better than you to read D&C 35:13.

Love You Sis,

congrats on the calling, we miss the ward already! I know it will be a lot of work, but you are going to LOVE it. The Lord will provide. You guys will be perfect for ALL of those callings, since you have so many
