Pine Wood Debry 2010

It was tough having Dad gone out of town for work for Cody's last and Cameron's 1st Pine Wood Derby, but we were well taken care of in his stead!
Brother Jeremy Vincent helped not only our two boys finish their projects, but another boy in the ward who's Dad isn't around, along with his own sons! We had  a special Family Home Evening with the Vincent's the monday before the big day so he could add the right amount of weights to each car. The boys had a blast hanging out in the garage "building" with Brother Vincent.
The boys had "best of 4" heats... one of which it was Cam against Cody!
Another car was in the lead, with Cam second and Cody third! But at the last leg of the track, Cody's car took off and he took 1st, while Cam still took second!
Another good race! Go Cam!
They each won participation ribbons, but the 1st prize went to the other little boy Brother Vincent helped, which we all we glad for! :)
Uncle Tyler drove over to help and support... he had helped with wheel installations in one of the many phases of building a pine wood derby car! We are so thankful to these great men in our lives who help ease the loneliness and sorrow of not having their own Dad here. THANK YOU!!!
After the official race was over the kids got to run their cars as many times as they wanted. Cody's car smoked EVERYONE's after the real race was over with Cam coming in close behind! Maybe we needed a few more good runs to get them wheels warmed up! Tee hee!
