Renaissance Fair

In Cody's school they have been studying the Renaissance Period. To culminate their learning, the entire grade did a Renaissance Fair. It was lovely! They invited the Parents only, and there was dinner and entertainment! They served beef stew, crusty bread, grapes and carrots and pie for dessert! All evening, different children would come up to you and "introduce themselves". I met many "famous people" from the time period! Then the entertainment began...

Cody played a part in a collage of Shakespere's plays. He really is a good actor!! For being as shy as he seems to be... give him a part to play and the thespian comes out in full force! I was SO proud of him!!
He played one of the "Shipwrecked Princes"... guess the play______??_________.
There was dancing, recitals, and even Jesters to entertain!
Cody's friend Maren played a muscial number.
Then came the May Pole dance. It was very well done!!
I LOVE how this picture turned out!! :) Also... I love how the Principal is there holding the pole for them. He is actively involved in every school event those kids do! He is even in costume to boot! He is just awesome!!
BRAVO 5th Graders!! I am so impressed!!!
