Hometown Light Parade 2008

(Sorry about the photos! I forgot my camera! Cell phone does an OK job!)
On the friday night following Thanksgiving our sleepy little town's Chamber of Commerce puts on a light parade. They shut down the lights on Main Street and have this awesome little parade!
This is our second year, and we are SO makin' this a tradition! It is FUN!

The kids (and the neighbors *grin*) vote that next year our little neighborhood should "claim" the spot in front of Central Bank and gather.
We want to bring hot popcorn and hot cocoa next for time! :)

Caleb L-O-V-E-D the train with the fireworks coming out the top!

There were whirling presents and Christmas trees up and down the parade route (I think in lieu of clowns! LOL!)

Each "float" was sponsered by a local business

They threw candy, light sticks and more!

The only flaw was inconsiderate parade watchers as they inched further and further into the road blocking everyone elses view further down the line...

The Semi was a hit as well! It blasted it's horn over and over

Their was local cities royalty, marching bands and dance companies decked out with lights on their clothing!

It was almost an hour long! It was really cool!
(and not too cold this year! LOL)

Caleb was thrilled with the tractor too!! The last float carried Kris Kringle himself! Caleb waved and waved!! It was a really good time!
Jestin is thinking about an entry possibly from JWD Electric next year - the good ole Red Ford would make an awesome entry - with Trans Syberian blasting from it's subwoofers! Bwahahahaha
